Before

The County of Maui has provided a grant, to be implemented FREE by Habitat for Humanity Maui, to modify homes for qualified Seniors, who are assessed with physical limitations, impairment, disabilities and/or other health issues. The program is available to qualified home owners county-wide.

If you are:

A resident of Maui County
At least 60 years of age
An owner-occupant
Have a significant ADL/IADL and/or certified disability
And meet the income guidelines

After

You may qualify for this short-time limited program.

Types of modifications:

Installing grab bars
Installing hand rails
Installing improved lighting
Install handheld lever handles on sinks/or doors
Install wheelchair ramps
Widen doorways
Remove tubs/install roll-in showers
Lower counter tops
Remove carpeting/install laminate floors

Funding ended August 2010. Work is done by a skilled crew, who are sensitive to the needs, cares/concern of each and every applicant.
