Kahoma
Kahoma Residential subdivision will offer West Maui single family homes to a broad spectrum of working families at various income levels. The proposed project consists of 68 single family lots, with 100% of the project offered at affordable prices. Habitat for Humanity Maui will be building 10 homes targeting those with income levels below 80% of HUD median income.
The project is located on a 16.7 acre site within the Lahaina area and is bounded by the Kahoma Flood Control Channel to the north and existing residential area to the south. Kahoma Residential Subdivision is located within easy walking distance to the Lahaina Business Park, Lahaina Gateway Plaza, and surrounding light industrial areas. The Lahaina Cannery Mall is less than one mile away. The project includes sidewalks and bike paths along a central connect road to encourage alternative modes of transportation.
Construction is expected to begin in 2014.
